There is something magical about heading to a place where cell phones don't work, the only road is dirt, and the nearest vestige of civilization is hours away. Such places may be common in parts of Alaska, but in the lower 48 they are becoming increasingly more difficult to find. Other than the fence, this image shows no sign that man ever visited this area. Visits to places like this have a therapeutical value that is difficult to overstate.
