"Lookout Studio"
January 2010, Grand Canyon, Arizona
Perched high atop the canyon rim, the aptly-named Lookout Studio commands an indescribable view of the Grand Canyon to the east. The gorgeous stone building was originally built in 1914 by the Santa Fe Railway. It was designed by none other than architect Mary Colter, and originally served as a photography studio. Today the building is used as a gift shop and observation point, and what an observation point it is. If this place ever has any openings, I'm sending in my resumé.
