"The Road to Crystal"
October 2012, Western Colorado
Crystal is a ghost town located 6 miles east of the tiny mountain town of Marble. The two towns are connected by a four wheel drive road. The road is quite narrow with room for only one vehicle, so passing is only possible at the occasional turnout. Sharp-edged boulders can easily cut through tires, so you have to be quite careful in choosing your line. The drive is well worth it because the scenery is breathtaking, especially in autumn.
