"Bowed Wall Ruin #1"
March 2012, Cedar Mesa, Utah
I came across this unnamed ruin while hiking to Fishmouth Cave on Comb Ridge. This is as colorful a ruin as I have ever encountered. I took the liberty of naming it Bowed Wall Ruin due to the obvious curvature of a large external wall not shown in this image. What really struck me about this particular ruin was how small the interior chamber was. In order to get this shot I crawled inside and set up my camera all the way against the back of the alcove. I had to use an ultra wide 17mm lens to get this shot. The Anasazi must have been quite small in stature.
