"The Natural Entrance Switchbacks"

There are 2 ways to enter the caverns. The easiest way is to take an 800 foot elevator ride from the visitor's center straight down to the caverns below. The other way is to hike in via the natural entrance shown here. I much prefer hiking in because it gives you such a sense of descending. These switchbacks are steep, and with each step the ambient light grows dimmer.
